Ze is a timid 17-year-old young boy in modern Mongolia, about to graduate high-school with top marks. He is also a shaman, who communes with his ancestral spirit to help those in his community. When Ze encounters Maralaa, his senses are awakened and another reality manifests. While he fully focuses on the present, he rediscovers his role as a shaman. With her debut, Lkhagvadulam Purev-Ochir (whose short film Mountain Cat was presented at AFF) paints modern Mongolia and its youth, summoning the past, the present and the future.
